Content Item - Linen Supplied for Servants Community Housing

The Rotary Club of North Balwyn has delivered 200 sets bed linen and 200 towels to Servants Community Housing, which provides safe and affordable housing for people in need in the City of Boroondara.

The quality linen had been transferred to the Donations In Kind Store in Footscray  from mining operations in Western Australia where it was no longer required at “fly-in fly-out” mining facilities because of the downturn in the industry.

Content Item - Servants Community Housing and Rotary Club of Hawthorn team up to help vulnerable locals

Progress Leader - October 13, 2015

Having spent more than 30 years battling a drug addiction and clinical depression, Servants Community Housing resident Paul Beagley is putting his green thumb to work by selling plants throughout Boroondara.

And now, with the help of the Rotary Club of Hawthorn, he and fellow Servants residents have two new greenhouses to grow plants all year round.

Content Item - Romana Centre Opened

The Servants Romana Centre was successfully opened in a public ceremony attended by DG Ross, several Rotary Club presidents and many Rotarians on 17th May.  The figures make impressive reading: 95 work sessions of up to four hours by Rotarians from six Boroondara based Rotary clubs.

Earlier this year the President of the Rotary Club of North Balwyn, Terry Gretton connected the local member of Federal Parliament for the Kooyong electorate, Josh Frydenberg with Servants Community Housing in Boroondara and this has resulted in a goodwill program for this Christmas.
